Originally released for Microsoft Windows, Zoo Tycoon 2 is also available for Windows Mobile, PDA, and Mac OS X, although expansions are not included in the Mac version. I'll be sure to update with photos of what I forgot to take screens of earlier at some point, but right now I think I have enough here in this post alone.Zoo Tycoon 2 is a business simulation video game developed by Blue Fang Games and published by Microsoft Game Studios and MacSoft. Then over here the lead Gorilla of the troop of four individuals (One male with three females). And I also forgot about the Hippos and Flamingos as well. Note: The Lions HAVE bred by now, but I forgot to take photos. This here being what the overhead map looks like after all these changes. This being what it looks like from the top of the plateau.Īnd during construction I decided to add a Mountain Gorilla exhibit because why not?Īnd to help take up space I added a Bison and Wild Horse exhibit simply because I needed an animal exhibit on that side of the Zoo. This here is what the refurbished Elephant Plateau section looks like after all the trees were added. I work on increasing what all I have in this plot, such as adding trees from the Grassland Biome to put outside of exhibits for a more natural feel, and I also have the two halves of my zoo easily accessible by a Sky Tram. The other is a Gelada exhibit which I had difficulties with at first due to the Glacier object's sheer size compared to the other biome objects from EA.Īnd here is a somewhat better overhead view of all three exhibits. The first one is a wetlands mixed exhibit with waterfalls as a detail, containing Hippos and Flamingos. This is the actual Elephant Exhibit, and as you can tell, there's two other exhibits off to the side of the plateau. Basically rather than solely relying on elevated platforms, I basically created a chunk of elevated land in the center of the zoo where the most valuable animal in the zoo is displayed at. I decided to use a little plateau trick I ended up doing with an older file I long since lost. This is how the Zoo at first looked when I decided to add in the African Elephants. Gonna keep this update short with the descriptions since I ended up with a lot more screens than I expected. Photograph of one of the two Black Rhinos, both of whom currently don't have names. Photograph of the Lion in the same exhibit, who is currently named Ahadi. Photograph of one of the two Lionesses in the Lion Exhibit. Kind of cramped, but I managed to fit everything all in nicely. This is the Food Court station right above the Lion Exhibit, which serves Submarine Sandwiches, Water Bottles, and Fruit Cups. Once I get at least one more exhibit I'll open the Zoo to the public. With that said, how's about I show you images of what I have so far, then?Ĭurrent progress of the Zoo in terms of construction. That's also how this zoo got the name of "Vanilla Zoo", since it's essentially unaltered content from the original game as to show some form of respect towards Blue Fang Games and the Zoo Tycoon franchise as a whole. Meaning if you want to request an animal exhibit to be added to this Zoo while it's being made, it has to be an animal that's already in the game. Currently a WIP of sorts that utilizes solely the vanilla content of Zoo Tycoon 2: Ultimate Collection, meaning no usermade downloads whatsoever.
